1. Only use the best facial cleansing brush If you’re feeling like your electric facial cleansing brush isn’t cleaning very effectively or too harsh on your skin, it may be because you’re not using the right one. Remove Eye Makeup First – 2 Minutes This step will probably take you the longest, depending on how heavy your makeup is. But hang in there—you can do it in 2 minutes, probably less! For mascara and light eyeshadow and liner, you can use water and mild cleanser. No makeup remover required. First, splash your eye area with lukewarm water. Then, using pea-sized amount of cleanser, very gently massage your entire orbital eye area (eyes closed, of course) with your fingertips in a circular motion. In particular, focus on your lashes and lashline to help dissolve the mascara. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. You may have to repeat is your mascara is waterproof. For heavy eye makeup removal, we recommend using a face makeup remover. Makeup removers come in several different forms, including liquids, gels, oils and wipes. You can even use coconut oil in a pinch if you’re looking for an easy makeup remover substitute. Just be sure to use a gentle makeup remover so avoid harsh ingredients like alcohol or fragrance. Gently massage a generous amount of over the eye area giving it few moments to start to dissolve your makeup. Then, very carefully wipe it away with a soft cotton pad. Remember: no tugging, pulling or scrubbing at your very delicate eye area. You should be using enough product to allow the cotton pad to easily slide over your skin. Use a Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush: The Best Makeup Remover – 1 Minute Time to fire up your Clarisonic facial cleansing brush. Apply Skincare Treatments (optional) – 1 minute, 30 seconds OK, you could go right to bed now, but if you can possibly stay awake 90 seconds longer, we recommend completing at least a step or two more of your regular skincare routine. When your face is freshly cleansed and makeup-free, it’s prepped to get the most benefit from your skincare products. Nighttime is also a great time to apply special treatments because you won’t be applying makeup over the top. So throw on an AHA or BHA exfoliant product and an anti-aging moisturizer or treatment serum. It takes just a few seconds. You will be glad you did when you wake in the morning with smooth, healthy skin. That’s it. You’re done. Now, go to bed!
